Affiliate Marketing Is Not A Dirty Word

When I first started out on my journey to become a successful Internet marketer I used to wonder about all the advertisements I came across that begged me to join an affiliate program. They made huge claims about how much money I would earn if I joined them so I just ignored them. That is until I started to understand more about affiliates and affiliate programs. WHAT IS AN AFFILIATE? An affiliate is someone who promotes other people’s products or services. When you become an affiliate you have a money making business opportunity but you have none of the worries or expenses of a typical business. You’ll never have the bother of dealing with processing or shipping an order or be involved with customer care. You will however receive money for your promotional efforts. When someone purchases a product or service through your efforts you receive a commission on the sale. All you have to do is promote and wait to receive your payment cheques. WHERE DO I FIND AN AFFILIATE PROGRAM? There are literally thousands of affiliate programs to choose from. Many of them will tell you that you will earn thousands and thousands of dollars per month if you join them. They will state all the amazing benefits to you and how new and fabulous their particular product or service is. I’m sure you have seen these advertisements everywhere on the Internet. If you type in affiliate programs into your search engine you will see what I mean. You will also just come across them as you are surfing. It can be quite over whelming to make a choice. HOW DO I DECIDE WHICH AFFILIATE PROGRAM IS FOR ME? There are three approaches to choosing the right program for you. Choose something that has a high demand Choose something that you have a passion for Combine the above two points so you will have a product that is in high demand and you are passionate about it. I personally think a combination of these approaches is the best. If you choose something that is in high demand then there will be a market for the product or service. It is essential to have a market otherwise you will find that no one will be interested in buying from you. The down side here however is when there is a high demand there is also a lot of competition. If you choose something you are passionate about then you’ll have more fun and you’ll be more passionate about what you are promoting. When you have something you can put your heart and soul into you will generally do better than if you are promoting something you don’t care about or know nothing about. 5 Proven Methods to Building Traffic For Your Online Business

As the internet age advances, more and more businesses are finding new life online. The potential benefits of such a venture are great as the internet allows for access to millions of possible customers across the globe.
The startup costs tend to be lower as many entrepreneurs run their online businesses from home. Unlike a physical store or office, online businesses are usually open 24hrs a day, everyday. That’s the good news. The bad news is that the success rate for startup online businesses is about 10% as 9 out of 10 online businesses simply don’t work. Getting traffic to your site can be the most difficult of tasks. There you are eager and ready, your website looks great, your merchandise or service is ready and the future seems bright. So how do you get people to come to your site? The following will give you 5 methods that will help steer you in the correct direction.

1.    Search Optimization
Search optimization is the method used to allow for your website to be ranked higher as a result of a search for specific keywords or phrases by a search engine such as Google or Yahoo. Businesses will target certain keywords that are relevant to their content and place them on the homepage and/or other pages on their site. As an example we can look at the online retailer, jewelrypayless.com. They optimize words such as "silver jewelry" or “men’s ring”, etc.  When Google receives a request for one of these key words jewelrypayless.com will come up in the search results. It is, however, not as easy as this. Your site may show up on page 100 buried deep within the search result listings. In order to get listed higher more work has to be done, as described in this article. Also, the act of optimizing a site requires some knowledge of HTML which is the basic language with which websites are built. You can use an HTML editor such Dreamweaver or Frontpage to add keywords to the pages which you are optimizing.

2.    Linking Strategy
Websites often reserve an area of their site dedicated to links. The page usually consists of categorized links pointing to other recommended sites. Usually, websites will exchange links for mutual benefit. The more links you have pointing to your site, the better. Links to your site(inbound) show the search engines that your site has value. The best way to go about this process is to establish good content on your site and begin targeting websites you would link to exchange links with. You can buy software to help you do this or you can manually send out link exchange invitations via email.

3.    Pay Per Click
The fastest way to get traffic is through pay-per-click advertising. Essentially, every time a web surfer clicks on an ad of your creation, you will pay. The price can range from 25 cents to $2 per click depending on the popularity of the keyword or phrases you’ve chosen. Basically, your ad will pop up in an area designated for paid ads once the keyword has been searched. It is important that you understand the correct keywords for your business in order to avoid paying unnecessary fees for irrelevant keywords. The most effective and popular of the pay per click ad sponsors are Google and Overture. You can also use shopping malls such as Nextag.com, Bizrate.com or Shopping.com to advertise via pay-per-click. Make sure to set your budget and monitor the results carefully making adjustments as you go along. Pay-per-click can be unreasonably expensive if not managed carefully.

4.  Affiliates
Affiliates are companies, individuals and organizations that you have established business relationships with in order to increase your exposure and sales revenue. Affiliates send traffic to your site via a link representing your business on their site. If the prospective customer should buy from you the affiliate gets a commission from the transaction. In order to use affiliates you are required to register with an affiliate program and begin recruiting affiliates to work for you. Offering a handsome commission can attract affiliates to sign up. Having a professional website that will be easy for them integrate with their own site can also peak the interests of potential affiliates. Always treat your affiliates well, paying them on time and communicating with them on a regular basis.

5.    Offline Advertising
An often neglected part of marketing online businesses, offline advertising, can be an effective means by which to bring in new customers and create “word of mouth” interest in your site. Ads in magazines, newspapers, tv, radio and local publications are some of the ways through which you can promote your business. Passing out flyers or sending out postcards can also result in new business, especially if you are offering a discount in the form of an exclusive coupon code. Be creative in trying to promote your business on a grass roots level. Read books such as “Guerilla Marketing” by Jay Levinson to gain insight on how to go about marketing in a cost effective manner.

In conclusion, succeeding online can be difficult but rewarding. If you use these methods to help you in your research and application of a business and marketing strategy, along with sacrificing time and putting forth a strong effort there is a good chance that you will be successful with your online business.

Running A Profitable Web Site

New web sites are popping up on the internet at an astonishing rate.  Many of these sites are being created by ordinary people looking to earn extra money on the internet.

New web sites are popping up on the internet at an astonishing rate.  Many of these sites are being created by ordinary people looking to earn extra money on the internet.  With the simplicity of web authoring tools that are readily available, it’s become much easier for internet newcomers to develop and maintain professional looking web sites.

Even with the web authoring tools and so many other resources at your disposal, it will still require a lot of work and patience before you see any real profit from your web site.  The actual creation of your site is only one step in a series of steps that must be taken in running a profitable web site.

To help make your web site as successful as possible, I’ve identified seven helpful tips for you to follow:

1.  Create as much original content as possible.  People enjoy reading original content, which will keep your visitors on your site longer.  People also tend to return to sites more often that frequently update their content.

2.  Make sure all links on your site are active.  Make it a habit to check your links on regular basis to ensure they work and that visitors are being directed to the page or site you intend.  If people can't get to where they want to go, they will leave.

3.  Make sure the content and graphics on your web site are relevant to its theme.  People can be easily confused if they land on a site expecting a particular topic, but the content or graphics don’t match that topic.  Most people will just move on to the next site.

4. Include a contact page or email address for visitors to contact you.  By providing contact information, your business will be given more credibility.  Plus, a potential customer may have a question about a product or service you’re promoting.

5.  Speaking of questions, adding a FAQ’s to your web site would be a great benefit to your visitors.  By listing answers to common questions, your visitor will be able to have a specific issue addressed without any interaction from you.  This saves you time to focus on other matters.

6. Offer your visitors a gift for visiting your web site, and provide other incentives for them to return.  These could include ebooks, software or even a subscription to your newsletter.  Most people are drawn to free gifts which will compel them to return to your site.

7.  Layout your web site in a logical order.  For example, if you’re promoting a product, don’t give away a free gift until your visitor learns about the product.  You want to keep your visitors focused on your product or site for as long as possible.

By applying the techniques above, you should be able to keep visitors on your web site longer and increase your overall traffic.  If you’re promoting a product or service, more visitors equate to more potential sales; resulting in more profit from your web site.

Can You Really Make Money Online Without A Website

The word’s out that it’s possible to make a good income from the internet without even owning a website. It’s an appealing proposition, but is it too good to be true? I used to think so. But now I know differently... Have you noticed the ads down the right side of the Google search results screen? Those little squares of text are changing the face of the internet. They are changing the way we use it, and the way we can earn from it. These are “Pay per Click” ads. When you click on them, the owner of the ad pays. Usually something between a cent and a few dollars. Welcome to the Wealthy World of AdWords The bare facts: If you have a good product to sell, and know how to write an eye catching ad, you can make money on the internet without a website. The harsh reality: You can run up a huge bill and sell nothing if you don’t know what you’re doing. The secret: Finding the right product, and getting that ad to work without costing you a fortune in costly clicks that don’t result in sales - that's the secret to success. The AdWords Academy Google runs an online training school for adwords that takes you step-by-step through the process of how to set up an ad and get it running. It’s a good way of learning the basics... But if you are serious about earning money and saving time by stepping round a huge and costly learning curve, you could do with consulting the experts. One such expert is Wade Winger, author of the Google Profits ebook. Following his advice I have a campaign up and running and getting clicks for just pennies a day. The Google Proftis ebook gives excellent step-by-step guidance on the two sides of the Google money making coin. The two-step Google Profit Process 1. find a good product to sell In this case - ebooks that pay affiliate commissions. There are literally 1,000’s out there and they often pay around 50% of the full selling price to affiliates. Wade’s recommended source and system is Clickbank and I agree with him. Google Profits takes you step-by-step, with screenshots, through the process of setting up a ClickBank account and choosing products to sell. 2. make Google ads work for you Most of us get nervous when it comes to committing to a paid for ad service that we barely understand. Google Profits is the highway code of the AdWords system. Once you know the “rules of the road” everything becomes less daunting and more doable. The Google Profits ebook even gives working examples to follow, and tells you how to tweak your ads to get you more clicks for less money. I’d love to hint at Wade’s secret formula that makes sure you get results without having to worry about running costly test campaigns - but I’d probably have a law suit on my hands! Instead I’m inviting you over to find out more about Google Profits on our Health & Wealth ebooks site. Happy profiteering! Legitimate Business Opportunities Online Cash Online

Buying Your Internet Products At A Major Discount

Making an income online has been a goal of mine for years.

My biggest desire is to retire on a sailing ship in the Mediterranean and each week on a Monday when I go out on deck, I would reach for my mobile phone and call my old boss and check on the weather back in Britain.

Or maybe I would wait until the sun was over the yard arm and call him so say “Hey do you recognize this sound?” (holding the phone over the side of the guard rail)… “That’s the sound of the Mediterranean sun kissed sea lapping against my yacht, while this” (popping the top off my chilled bottle of Grolsch), “is the sound of my chilled beer helping to keep me cool…. How’s work by the way?”

That day is getting closer, but it could have been here by now if only I hadn’t been so pig headed.

You see, I thought I knew best. I believed that if I build it they would come. Worse still, I believed I knew what people wanted.

How dumb was I?

As it turns out, not that dumb. You see, I was willing to admit I had been wrong, I was willing to look for a better solution and then I was willing to pay for it.

It’s never too late to start again. With that in mind, I started looking for solutions. These solutions had to meet certain criteria.

1. Be able to get high quality products at a discounted price. 2. Be able to offer services to absolute beginners and experts alike. 3. Be affordable. 4. Have clear instructions and/or training. 5. Offer solutions that people outside of marketing would desire.

That seems like a tall order, but I believed I could find a solution, if I didn’t then I would create one.

What really surprised me when I looked was that the solutions were there right in front of me and what surprised me more was that I had seen these solutions and ignored them because I had seen them so often before!

How dumb is that? If you keep seeing the same product being offered month after month, year after year, then it probably works. Why? Because nobody is going to spend good money advertising a lemon are they? Of course not.

Here’s one of the solutions I found and what it has to offer, remember the list above?

1. High quality products with resale rights and sometimes, master resale rights. New products added monthly and I could request a product as well. 2. This is a zero experience solution (see 4 below). 3. The cost is about the same as a large pizza and coke. 4. Each section of the member’s area has clear instructions that anyone can follow. 5. There are products that are of interest to Internet marketers and non-marketers alike.

Looks like a winner! It is, believe me, it is.

I have seen the website for this site so many times that after reading it years ago, (and dismissing it because I though I knew better), I only read it again this year.

Having read it again and again, I looked at the price and got my payment card out right away. I haven’t looked back since. I now have the new version of the site on a new domain.

One of the first things I did was read a course called “Online Advertising For the Completely Clueless!".

I’ve been running my online business for about four or five years. I didn’t think I was clueless, BUT all I could do was nod my head and scribble notes.

I was so impressed that I now offer this course for free to anyone who wants it. It’s big, really big, so are the results you can get by following the course and acting on the advice.

So by now you are saying tell me where I can get my hands on all this information, right?

OK. Just visit Push Button Solutions and don’t make the mistake I did.

If you are unsure when you visit the site, take a good look at what’s on offer, sign up for the course at the bottom of the page Push Button Solutions then when you are done just 5 days from now, go back to the site and look again.

My yacht is becoming a reality at last.
