Online Business Confidence

It doesn't matter how much talent or acquired ability you have, if you lack confidence you aren't going to get anywhere in your online business. On the other hand, if you have confidence plus desire, even if you lack the raw talent, you can acquire the ability you need to succeed.

This is as true on the Internet as it is anywhere else in life. When you look at who has succeeded with Internet marketing you will find a surprising range of people. They are not all technical whizz kids at all. Yes, some of these Internet Marketing Greats have a lot of technical talent, but on the other hand there are plenty of work from home moms, retired citizens, youngsters with zero qualifications
who have successful business on the internet.

They succeeded because they had the desire and determination plus the confidence to risk failure and not worry about what other people thought about their dream to succeed on the internet.
So what can you do if you want to succeed as an Internet marketer but suffer with your confidence? Let's look at some confidence building tips for Internet Marketers.

Just telling yourself that you need to be more confident will not help. Instead, think about and visualise your ultimate goal as an Internet Marketer. You may have no idea how you are going to achieve this goal at the moment.

Don't worry about that at this stage. It is important to see yourself as having already attained the goal that you have set for yourself. Don't just see it, but feel the feeling of success, the excitement of achieving your goal.

Now you will need to set yourself a series of small goals that you can achieve in a reasonable amount of time. Each small goal should be seen as a stepping stone
towards the ultimate goal that you have visualized. State what it is that each mini goal is seeking to achieve and set a time limit in which you aim to achieve it.

When it comes to Internet marketing there are several things that you can try to achieve without challenging your fear of failure.

For example, you could aim to improve your website's Alexa ranking by a certain amount in the course of the coming month. This kind of goal can be achieved with various online activities, such as posting articles, building back links and posting comments on blogs

When you see that your activities are producing results, it will give your confidence boost and help you to set slightly more challenging goals, while keeping your new positive business building habits as part of your routine.

The next step could be, for example, starting to build a mailing list and aiming to get so many subscribers by a certain date. This would involve learning about auto responders and researching list building tactics and putting them into action one step at a time.

Gradually, as you see your skills improve, your website ranking improve, and traffic to your website starting to increase, you will want to think about how to convert your traffic into your first sale. Just aiming for one sale, if you have not yet begun to sell anything is a good goal to aim for because once you make your first sale, you will to start to feel more confident and you will sell time and time again.

The art of success is discovered in trying to succeed, and a feeling of self-confidence is generated almost as a side-effect of this process.

Finally, another valuable confidence building tip for helping to build confidence is to read the stories and testimonies of other people who have come from unpromising backgrounds and circumstances to achieve great success.

Legitimate Home Business Productivity Tips

The Internet is one of the easiest places to get distracted. You may log on to start one thing and up doing something else you didn't expect. You have to be strong enough to avoid the distraction keep focus or else you will see your productivity do down real fast.

For example, you may want to check your e-mail as soon as you log on, but if you click on one enticing link in one e-mail you can easily be lead away from your objectives and spend the rest of the session reading and clicking, without getting any of your tasks done.

Yet, just as much as the Internet can be a source of distraction, if used properly it can also be a great productivity booster. For example, whereas in the old days of snail mail, if you wanted to contact 100 people you had to stuff 100 envelopes or make 100 phone calls, now, one message can quickly be sent to 100 people via e-mail.

But to help you boost your productivity when on the Internet, it is important that you prioritize and plan before logging on, and that you make use of certain productivity enhancers when doing your work online.

Here is a routine you can go through before you log on to help you to increase your Internet productivity:

1.You should have a well written list in front of you with the top priorities first and no matter what, stick to it.  Don't make it too long, and prioritize the tasks. A short, prioritized list is better than a long rambling list that includes every little task you can think of.

2. Set yourself a time for each task, and allow yourself a few breaks as well if you have time. By setting a time schedule you will be able to monitor your progress and keep yourself on task more easily.

3. Write down a quick list of all the things that you will NOT do until your task are completed. This might include things like not checking your e-mail, social networking sites and news sites until after you have completed your jobs.

4. Now, take your top priority and make yourself a promise such as:

"I will get .... done by ...am/pm today. To do that I will NOT .... and I will/won't .... until the job is done."

Write this down and post it by your computer where you can see it.

In addition to these four basic techniques, which are designed to help you focus on the tasks immediately in front of you, it is important that you remind yourself about the "big why" that causes you to do the tasks in the first place. If you can place your immediate tasks in the context of your "big why", the big reason why you are doing all this in the first place, it will serve to motivate you to get your tasks done.

For example, you may want to write a chapter of an e-book that you are planning to publish on your website. But why are you planning to publish an e-book on your website? Isn't it because you want to develop a range of unique products to offer your visitors? And why do you want to do that? Isn't it because you want to build a successful Internet business so that you can give up your job and work at home full time? And why do you want to do that? Isn't it because... Well, you get the idea by now!

The point is that if each task that you do can seen as a stepping stone towards your ultimate goal, then you will be much more focused on getting the job in hand done and dusted.
